How to choose

Every course teaches the same underlying modelling standard. What differs is the application, the sector, the structure and the kind of model you are being asked to produce.

The most reliable way to choose is to start from the model you need to build. If you are building or reviewing project finance models and have not trained with us before, Best Practice Project Finance Modelling is where most people begin. If you already model confidently and need a specific sector’s conventions, go straight to the relevant sector course.

Every course page states its prerequisites plainly. Most assume working confidence in Excel rather than expertise, and introductory Excel material is sent on registration so course time is not spent on basics.

Tell us about your modelling challenge, and we’ll guide you to the course that will best support it. If your requirements fall outside our current course offerings, we’ll let you know.

What every course includes

  • Step-by-step, instructor-led case studies, you build the model, not watch someone build it
  • Individual coaching through every exercise
  • Working model files to take away and re-use
  • Excel preparation material sent on registration
  • Trainers who still practise, facilitators are drawn from our financial modelling teams
