The problem
Turning training into a team-wide standard
Sending three people on a course in March can be highly valuable for those individuals, but turning that learning into a sustained team-wide capability often requires additional support.
Organisations that achieve lasting improvements in modelling standards typically complement training with shared conventions, common resources, access to expert guidance when challenges arise, and periodic reviews to reinforce best practice.
A capability partnership brings these elements together in a structured annual arrangement, instead of leaving capability to individual course attendance.
Who this is for
- Teams of roughly eight to fifty people who build, review or rely on financial models
- Organisations already considering buying in-house training
- Teams with a genuine house standard problem, every analyst modelling in their own dialect
- Businesses where an error reaching a credit committee or a board is a live risk
- Groups hiring at pace, needing new joiners productive to a common standard quickly
- Leaders who need to prove capability to a board, a lender or a regulator
What is included
Five components, one agreement
01
In-house clinic days
A fixed number of days per year with a senior trainer in your office, working on your models and your conventions rather than a generic case study. The scarce resource, spent where it is worth most.
02
Model helpdesk
Somewhere for your analysts to take a live modelling problem and get a considered answer from a practitioner. Staffed from our build and audit bench, not a single trainer’s inbox.
03
Capability assessment
Your team’s modelling capability measured at the start of the year and again at the end, against a defined standard.
04
First call on AI Enablement
Priority access to our AI Enablement practice as tooling and governance questions arrive, which for most teams is already overdue.
05
A curriculum that moves
Our course material is refreshed continuously by what the model audit practice finds going wrong in real models. You are taught this year’s failure modes, not 2019’s.
Commercial structure
Priced as an annual agreement
A capability partnership is priced per organisation per year, scaled by the size of the team and the number of in-house clinic days included. Fees are provided on enquiry and confirmed before any commitment.
The economics turn in the partnership’s favour once a team is training more than a handful of people a year and adding in-house days on top. At that level of commitment the same spend buys a team standard, a live helpdesk and measured improvement, rather than a number of separately trained individuals.
Clinic days delivered outside the partnership allowance are charged at agreed day rates. Multi-year agreements are available.
Why us
The capability arm of a modelling assurance practice
Most training providers teach modelling. We audit models for a living, build them for clients and teach the same methodology across all three. That is an unusual combination and it changes what the training is worth.
EVIDENCE
Taught from years of learning
As the number one ranked global model audit practice, we see what works and what goes wrong in models across the market. Years of that evidence flow directly into what we teach.
PRACTITIONERS
Trainers active in client work
Unlike many training providers, our trainers remain actively involved in client engagements, including model audits and model development. This keeps the techniques, examples and lessons shared during training reflect current industry practice.
SCALE
20,000+ people taught
Our modelling methodology has been taught to more than 20,000 individuals globally and is recognised across the infrastructure investor and lender community.
